This morning started well... but by this afternoon things went downhill a bit
Its the first Thursday of September so I attended my monthly visit to the "Bundles for Britain" at the church hall. It was a real behive of activity with more members attending than usual. After handing over my contribution I helped sort some of the many donations that have flooded in. Its very gratifying to see
I got home at lunchtime just as the phone was ringing. It was my sister in law informing us that hubby's dear mother had been taken to hospital with breathing difficulties and suspected pneumonia. When hubby got home he telephoned his brother and they had a long conversation. Obviously he is very worried.. but although shes 94 she is strong willed and fiesty and we are hopeful. We live so far away there is not much we can do, but Brother J said he will keep us in the loop For dinner I used some of the apples (we're not too sick of them ..yet!) and made Dixie Pork Chops. It was was a quiet affair. Although MrD and I chatted it was clear we both had a lot on our mind. Hopefully Mum will feel better tomorrow but its going to be a long night
