Saying Goodbye..

 Another short post

Mums funeral went off without a hitch and surprisingly well attended considering the short notice. The hymns were perfect, the readings very moving. She had the send off she deserved . Well done Mum!

This afternoon we had the reading of the will. Mums instructions were clear. The house and its contents were to be sold.. and a set amount given to each of the grandchildren. The rest was to be split equally between all of her sons and daughters. Each daughter and granddaughter received a piece of mums jewellry and the sons received a gift from their late father. Her car was left to MrD's older brother... and the old truck was left to my dear hubby..... including the price to ship it by freight train to our home. She thought of everything

I received a beautiful brooch.. and MrD was so pleased to get a pair of his Dads cufflinks. And between me and my sister in laws.. we are to get a share of the vast contents of her sewing room. She really knew us well. The sisters will sort though it all.. and send my share in the truck.

And this blessed woman also left me her recipe for Potato Salad!! 

Oh Mum.. I will miss you so much.
