Mocha Frosting

A mocha buttercream frosting from the March 1942 edition of Better Homes and Gardens. Its silky smooth, perfect for cake decorating and sandwiching cookies together, and bursting with authentic chocolate coffee flavor

6 tablespoons cocoa
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
6 tablespoons hot coffee
3 cups confectioners' sugar
6 tablespoons butter

  • Combine cocoa and coffee
  • Add butter and vanilla extract
  • Beat until smooth. 
  • Add sugar gradually until of spreading consistency.
